While the original designs are pretty iconic, I’m not sure whether raytracing would be a good fit for them. I guess we’ll have to see it in action to know for certain. But they did look pretty neat on a few mods I spotted a while ago.

As for the newer ones being convoluted, I don’t think they’re that bad xD

A friend of mine used to draw fairly accurate sketches of them as a child. While my sketches weren’t as good, the two of us had a fair understanding of how the automatons morphed from one state to another. I guess we must have left out all the tiny nuts and bolts though, haha.
